About the Conference
Global SME Cooperation Conference (the Conference) (formerly known as the Global SME Summit and the Global SME Leaders Summit) is initiated and organized by Global Alliance of SMEs (GASME).
The Conference brings together local governments, business associations and chambers of commerce, SMEs, and investment institutions from around the world, facilitating exchanges and matchmaking on global supply chains, trade and economic opportunities, and SME globalization, continuously delivering project signings and co-development of industrial bases with tangible commercial outcomes, and advancing sustainable growth of the world economy.
Theme & Purpose
for World SMEs
Generate New SME Growth Momentum, and Advance Sustainable Growth of the World Economy
Background
Securing Global Industrial Chains Stability
Amid global industrial restructuring, rising trade barriers, and the growing risk of “decoupling and supply-chain severing”, the Conference advocates open cooperation and promotes interconnectivity among SMEs worldwide, fostering more resilient, diversified, and complementary global supply chains to support sustainable growth of global economy.
Addressing Challenges Facing SMEs in International Markets
SMEs account for 60-70% of global employment and roughly 50% of global GDP. Yet individually, they are constrained by limited resources and lack access to overseas market information, cross-border business channels, and compliance expertise. The Conference brings together local governments, business associations and chambers of commerce, SMEs, and investment institutions from around the world, helping Chinese SMEs go global and overseas SMEs access to China's vast market opportunities.
Driving Industrial Transformation and Upgrading
The Conference promotes integrated development among large enterprises and SMEs, facilitating technology transfer and industrial chain collaboration. With a focus on AI, big data and green manufacturing, it shares industry transformation experiences and empowers SMEs to advance international competitiveness.
Building a Long-term Cooperation Network of International Business Associations
The Conference is not a one-off forum. It aims to establish a standing cooperation platform for business associations and companies across nations, a transnational network for generating business match-making, practical deals and co-development of industrial bases, delivering tangible commercial outcomes.
Synergy with the National-level Opening-up Platform
As a sister platform of the World Manufacturing Convention (WMC), the Conference complements the WMC: while the WMC focuses on large-scale manufacturing projects, the Global SME Cooperation Conference specializes in cross-border business matchmaking for SMEs. Together, they serve China's high-standard opening-up.
