WMC Business Association President Forum 2023 Held in Hefei

On September 21st, the WMC Business Association President Forum 2023 hosted by GASME was held in Hefei.

Themed "Intelligence, Cooperation, the New Era of World Manufacturing ", the forum aimed to vigorously open up and strengthen extensive and institutional cooperation between the world business associations in the context of weak global economic recovery, accelerate the development of global partnerships, promote high-quality development of intelligent manufacturing to inject new impetus into world economic growth.

Rich content was included in the forum, such as addresses from leaders, keynote speeches, dialogues with top 500 executives, dialogues with presidents of international organizations and business associations, strategic cooperation signing, and the launching ceremony of GASME International Reception Hall.

Chairman Wulff stated in his speech that GASME has been committed to creating a global manufacturing development platform to promote high-quality development of the manufacturing industry. The alliance will continue to play its role in connecting government and enterprises, integrating internal and external resources, unblocking supply and demand, and actively promoting the interconnection of global business associations to contribute more efforts to building a global cooperation platform for the development of advanced manufacturing industry.

Vice Minister Yi Xiaozhun pointed out in his keynote speech that China has been embedded in the global value chain, becoming one of the global manufacturing centers and factories. Faced with the current global crisis, all business associations in China should return to the track of multilateral cooperation, establish interdependent, efficient, and stable global supply chains, and jointly maintain global stability and development.

Vice Chairman He Weiwen delivered a speech on the theme of "Re-globalization, China Re-departs with World Business Associations ". He emphasized that in response to the increasingly fragmented trend of global trade, choosing "re-globalization" should encourage global cooperation, diversify and decentralize supply chain division of labor, and promote the revival of globalization. “We welcome all companies around the world willing to cooperate, promote trade, investment, research and development cooperation to work together for common development.

Wang Shengkai, Researcher at the China Internet of Things Names Service Platform, Member of the Expert Committee of GASME, hosted the dialogue with executives of Fortune 500 Companies. Lu Yuebing, Chairman of Air Liquide (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Wang Yaokun, Vice President of ThyssenKrupp China, Chen Xiaoguang, Vice President of Valeo Wiper System Asia, Zhou Diwei, Business Development Director of Suez Recovery and Waste Management Greater China and Tang Xiaolin, General Manager of CR Digital Resolink conducted in-depth discussions on the development and future direction of intelligent manufacturing in the global manufacturing industry, and shared unique insights.

Tian Xiaohong, Secretary General of Hongqiao Overseas Trade Center Cooperation Promotion Association and Deputy Secretary-General of Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce hosted the dialogue with senior officials of business associations and international organizations. Zheng Xiaojun, Secretary-General of the World Federation of Free Trade Zones, Deng Ruizhou, President of the German Federal Association for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in China, Dong Zailiang, Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, Zhang Yihua, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong International Trading CO, Wang Qing, President of the China-Japan Industrial Investment Promotion Association, Li Shoujun, Vice Executive Chairman of Global Belt and Road Economic Cooperation (Cambodia) Federation Association conducted in-depth exploration and sharing on how international organizations and business associations can play a role in promoting economic recovery and how to achieve high-quality development.

Lu Yiran, Chairman of Haibang International Consultant Group and Senior Vice Chairman of GASME Sustainable Development Committee and Wu Qunxue, Chairman of Anhui Haixuan Culture Group delivered wonderful speeches at the forum.

At the forum, the "GASME International Reception Hall" was launched. The positioning of the International Reception Hall is "an incubator for cross-border investment by enterprises". Its functions are mainly divided into four sections: first, a cross-border investment and trade training center, second, a cross-border investment and trade big data center, third, a cross-border investment and trade docking center, and fourth, a cross-border investment project roadshow center. The alliance will establish its first International Reception Hall in Hefei. Within two years, we will establish more than 10 International Reception Halls in regional central cities across five continents.

The GASME Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony was also held at the forum.
