EU-China SME Partnership Week 2012

I. Theme

In order to advance cooperation between China and the EU, fully implement China EZ Path Program, and promote Chinese SMEs trade and economic cooperation with EU countries, this Partnership Week is dedicated to the win-win development for both China and the EU.

IV. Chinese Participants

Over 100 key Chinese SMEs are expected to participate.
The annual turnover of these Chinese participants should not be lower than 10 million USD. Participants should be looking for one or more opportunities in the following:

1.Expanding operations in the European market
2.Introduce advanced technologies from EU
3.Raise funds in EU (including financing for listing on stock market)
4.Invest in EU (seek for investment projects in EU, or merge EU companies)
5.Build and run joint brands with EU companies

V. EU Participants

Over 200 EU SMEs are expected to participate.
EU participants should be looking for one or more opportunities in the following:

1.Technological cooperation with Chinese companies
2.Investment from China (investment on project or joint venture)
3.Help Chinese companies raise funds in Germany (including financing for listing on stock market)
4.Expanding operations in the Chinese market
5.Build and run joint brands with Chinese companies
6.Help Chinese companies expand operations in the EU market

VI. Major Events:

China SME Global Development Forum (UNIDO)

This forum will be held in the Headquarters Conference Hall of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. There will be discussions on key topics, including the difficulties of Chinese SMEs¡¯ global development. Keynote speakers will include UNIDO Director General, top officials from Global Alliance of SMEs, U.N. experts on international investment and trade, leaders from SME Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC.

Germany-China SME Cooperation Conference (Frankfurt)

This conference will be held in Frankfurt, Germany. The theme will of this conference will be China-Germany investment and financing cooperation for new technologies. Over 100 German enterprises (specializing in renewable energy technology, energy-saving technology, biological technology, new materials technology and environmental production technology), financial institutions (investment banks, capital venture companies, privately offered funds) and international trade organizations, with cooperation intent will participate.

France-China Business Reception (Paris)

This cocktail will be held in Paris, France, aimed to help Chinese companies build relations with French political and business circles. 30 VIPs from French political and business circles as well as all participating Chinese entrepreneurs are expected to participate.

VII. Agenda for Chinese Entrepreneurs

Chinese attendees will stay in EU for one week, visiting Austria, Germany and France.
