Chairman Carlos Magariños Visited HICG International Reception Hall in Shanghai

On November 17, Carlos Magariños, Global Chairman of the Global Alliance of SMEs (GASME) and former Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), visited the Shanghai Operation Center of HICG International Reception Hall, accompanied by Frank Cao, Executive Chairman and Secretary-General of GASME. This visit further deepened the exchange and cooperation between both parties, injecting new opportunities for the development of HICG International Reception Hall.

The HICG Partner Team briefed Chairman Magariños on the development history and key service areas of the International Reception Hall, and discussed specific cases and achievements in serving family businesses. He stated that in the face of global challenges, such as increasing economic uncertainties and the rise of trade protectionism, challenges and opportunities coexist. Family enterprises should establish a global vision, strengthen international cooperation, integrate family governance with corporate management, and leverage support from all sectors of society. They should increase investment in technological innovation, promote digital transformation, focus on sustainable development, and fulfill social responsibilities.

During the inspection, Chairman Magariños was invited to take on the role of Global Chairman of the HICG International Reception Hall Charitable Foundation. Chairman Magariños expressed that he would fully leverage his international influence and resource advantages to promote the foundation’s efforts in carrying out more meaningful public welfare activities globally, fostering the sustainable development of family enterprises and social progress.
