Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention Global Business Forum 2016

I.Background and Objective

Zhejiang entrepreneurs have always been the leader in the globalization of China’s economy. They represent assiduous Chinese entrepreneurs dedicated to innovation and are the source of vitality for the economy in Zhejiang Province, or throughout China. Against the general economic globalization, China’s foreign investment increased by 14.7% year on year in 2015, with its overseas M&As registering a record high. The global development of enterprises has already been a natural trend. In order to sustain and enhance their competitive advantages, Zhejiang enterprises must accelerate their globalization so as to grab opportunities in the global market, develop emerging sectors and achieve transformations and upgrades.

So, how can we help Zhejiang enterprises go global at a steady pace? How can Zhejiang entrepreneurs retain their vitality and further enhance their competitiveness in this globalization trend? How can the historic opportunity of China holding G20 be fully utilized to make new breakthroughs and let the voice of Zhejiang entrepreneurs be heard around the globe?

Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention·Global Business Forum 2016, supported by Global Alliance of SMEs and the Government of Ningbo and co-organized by Zheshang Magazine and World Zheshang Web, will be held in Ningbo on May 18th and 19th, 2016.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC Li Zhaoxing will attend this Convention and deliver keynote speeches. Special guests to this Convention also include leaders from the Global Institute for Zhejiang Merchants Development (Zhejiang Merchants Think Tank), renowned Zhejiang Merchant representatives, nationally famous entrepreneur representatives, and experts and scholars home and abroad, providing guidance and help from different perspectives to the global development of Chinese private enterprises including Zhejiang Merchants.

Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention, held annually since 2004, has been convened for 12 sessions, becoming an annual feast for private enterprises to share information, capitals and resources.

Mr. Xi Jinping attended the Convention for two consecutive years and delivered speeches when he was still the Secretary of Zhejiang Province. Senior leaders and guest speakers to this convention also include Academician Lu Yongxiang, Academician Pan Yunhe, Jim Rogers, John Naisbitt, Kevin Kelly, Christopher Sue Decker, Jack Ma, Zong Qinghou, and Li Shufu. As many as 90,000 people in total have attended the Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention.
